The Shimano Aero Technium MgS 14000 XTD is the top-of-the-linelong range carp reel!

This Big Pit sets a new standard for performance and durability, specifically designed for LONG RANGE CARP fishing.

One of the key features of this reel is its longer spool, which measures 45 millimeters in length. This gives the line more surface area to sit on, which reduces friction IMPROVING casting distance.

The spool is also designed to be more rigid, thanks to the Rigidcast design philosophy, which balances strength and lightness to withstand the impact of powerful casting.

The oscillation system on this reel is Shimano’s world-famous super slow 10 system, which has been redesigned to take advantage of the new spool shape. The super slow 10 system wraps between 95 and 110 layers of line on the spool over one full oscillation, which helps to add distance to every cast.

Featuring a magnesium Hagane body that increases rigidity and protects against impact damage, as well as an Xprotect structure that funnels water away from the line roller to enhance durability.

The Silent Drive system, which is a redesign of several internal components, reduces handle play and unwanted movement, as well as eliminating noise and any feeling in your hand from the warm shaft.

The Aero Technium MgS-XTD 14000 also includes the Infinity Drive system, which supports the main shaft with a sliding bush and special coating to reduce resistance.
