Shimano Curado 200 HGK

The Shimano Curado 200 K series consists of three right hand models with different gear ratios and one for the lefties here in South Africa.

This reel must be on everyone’s wish list. They feature a specially plated pinion gear, combined with a breakwater wall and drainage port providing superior protection from water intrusion and corrosion. The durable Hagane Body holds Shimano’s innovative MicroModule gearing. And it also features X-Ship for smooth rotation and the SVS Infinity Braking System for proper casting performance.

A baitcaster that can perform both in freshwater for bass, in estuaries for Garrick and things… This versatility really counts and with three different gear ratios their will always be a model just right for your application.

  • 6+1 Bearing
  • 11lb of drag!
  • 7.4:1 gear ratio
  • 79cm per crank of the handle
  • 215 grams

You can spool up with 100 metres of 12lb monofilament.

It would be my very first bass fishing choice. The HG model with the 7.4:1 gear ratio sits right in between the K(6.2:1) and the XG(8.5:1) so it will allow multiple techniques.
