Shimano Curado 200 XGK

The Shimano Curado 200 XGK is the speed demon in the K series sporting three right hand models with different gear ratios and one for the lefties here in South Africa.

This reel must be on everyone’s wish list. They feature a specially plated pinion gear, combined with a breakwater wall and drainage port providing superior protection from water intrusion and corrosion. The durable Hagane Body holds Shimano’s innovative MicroModule gearing. And it also features X-Ship for smooth rotation and the SVS Infinity Braking System for proper casting performance.

A baitcaster that can perform both in freshwater for bass, in estuaries for Garrick and things… This versatility really counts and with three different gear ratios their will always be a model just right for your application.

The Curado 200 XGK is lightning fast with a 8.5:1 gear ratio.

  • 6+1 Bearing
  • 11lb of drag!
  • 8.5:1 gear ratio
  • 221 grams

You can spool up with 100 metres of 12lb monofilament or 50lb braid for frogging.

The Shimano Curado 200 XGK would be my choice for pitching, worming and frogging. If you are looking for less speed consider the the HG or K models.

Ideally match the Shimano Curado 200 XGK with a Shimano Crucial or Duckett rod!!!
